Rental Car Benefits
- Saving Money. By renting vehicles (often at discounted corporate rates), businesses can frequently cut costs. On average, rentals cost 35¢ a kilometre, while the CRA rate for 2025 is set at 72¢ (76¢ in the territories), offering a savings of more than 50%.1
 - Managing Risk & Duty of Care. With a recent-model rental, you get peace of mind knowing the vehicle technology is current and maintenance is up to date.
 - Protecting Your Brand Image. Choosing a rental car from Enterprise helps ensure your employees travel — and meet clients, partners and vendors — in a clean, well-maintained and regularly serviced vehicle.

How to Calculate Mileage Reimbursement and Rental Costs
Glossary
Travel Distance is the total miles traveled by car to and from your destination. Google Maps™ mapping service can help you estimate this distance.
Fuel Cost is the current price per litre of gas. The Canadian Automobile Association (CAA) is a good resource to use when looking for the current prices for your travel area(s). If your travel takes you through areas with varying costs, averaging them can provide a helpful estimate.
Reimbursement Rate is the amount per kilometre that your company uses when reimbursing employees for travel in personal vehicles. Many organizations choose to use the CRA kilometric rate, an amount reviewed and often adjusted annually, which we’ve entered for you, but if your company uses an alternative rate, enter that instead.
