Things to do in Lanzarote

Places to Visit Near Lanzarote

From the south of Lanzarote, in Playa Blanca, and if you want to discover a second island, you can take the ferry over to Corralejo in Fuerteventura. On this other island, you can find Betancuria, a must-visit and one of the most beautiful villages on the Canary Islands. This new destination is known for its kilometer-long beaches (the most notable being Corralejo, Cotillo, Pájara and Cofete), where it's still possible to take a dip all by yourself.

Parking and Traffic in Lanzarote

Luckily for drivers, Lanzarote is not yet an island besieged by traffic, so driving on its roads is still relatively pleasant. In the tourist hot spots, you'll also find large parking areas where you can easily park your vehicle. There is, however, a caveat if you're wanting to drive into Arrecife; because it's the densest area demographically, the traffic multiplies and it's more difficult to find somewhere to park.
