The city wants to promote public transportation, bicycles and walking, however, it is possible to park your car in specific areas. To get around and park with your car rental in Grenoble, you must first take note of the different “green” “orange” and “violet” areas. The “green” zones are long-term and paid parking from 9h to 12h and from 14h to 19h every day except Sundays and holidays. The “orange” and “violet” zones are paid all day long, in half price from 12h to 14h and for a short period (2h maximum). Please note that the first 20 minutes are free once a day and per vehicle.
