Notre-Dame Cathedral in Strasbourg has been classified as a historical monument since 1862. At 142-m high, it is the second tallest cathedral after Rouen, and the second most visited in France. Located in the old town of Strasbourg, it impresses with its architecture and the richness of its frontispiece adorned with pink sandstone. A true masterpiece of Gothic art, the exterior is as amazing as the interior. The Palais Rohan

Located not far from the cathedral, the Palais Rohan (Rohan Palace) is now home to three museums; the Musée Archéologique (Archaeological Museum), Musée des Beaux-Arts (Museum of Fine Arts) and the Musée des Arts Décoratifs (Museum of Decorative Arts). It was built in the 18th century based on the plans of the then king's architect for Cardinal Armand-Gaston de Rohan-Soubise who was the Prince-Bishop of the city at the time. As the family's place of residence for several generations, it later took the family name. The Palace of Strasbourg is considered to be one of the most beautiful architectural achievements of the 18th century in France to date.
