The Meudon forest is a green jewel in the heart of the Paris region and is the perfect place to head out for long walks. Note that a vehicle is essential to get to a starting point. You can also take advantage of your proximity to Versailles to visit its not-to-be-missed château. It’s well worth a visit, given its striking grandeur. If the traffic is calm, it will take you less than thirty minutes to reach Paris and visit the capital’s landmarks.

Parking and driving in Vélizy

If you’re planning to stay in Vélizy, you can always find somewhere to park your vehicle. As in the rest of the Paris region, however, you should be aware that traffic is often heavy. It’s best to drive between 10 AM and 4 PM, or after 9 PM, so as to avoid the RN 118 (which passes through Vélizy) or the Boulevard Périphérique during rush hour.
