Is a Car Rental Deposit Required in Ireland?

Yes. All customers will be required to pay a rental deposit. Total cost is based on the size of the vehicle you are going to rent, how long the rental reservation is, and any additional (optional) items added to your rental reservation. You will be required to provide the cost of the rental and an additional deposit hold amount over the actual cost of the rental.

The estimated cost of the rental plus a deposit of 250 EUR (~$270 USD) will be taken by credit or debit card at the time of rental. The credit or debit card must be in the name of the renter.
